| After Beijing I went back to working as a doctor in the emergency department and on the acute medical wards at Queens Medical Centre in Nottingham. I also did quite a lot of work as a trackside doctor in Donington park and was lucky enough to work there for the last MotoGP event. Really enjoyed moving my career forwards again and will miss my colleagues. I was still training as much as I could on the water, bike, swimming, running and gym. The 18 months was mainly spent competing in surfski events, triathlons, duathlons, adventure races and running events.
Now my medical career is back on hold and I am focussing on being a full time athlete. I aim to still do some doctor work either voluntary or locum shifts.
